Cards

We had our neighbors over for a game of cards tonight. It was really fun!  We put our kids to bed and then made a double date out of it.

Do you have any cards? If so, then this date is FREE! You can play at home, and during nap time!
There are TONS of card games out there too. Uno, Rook, phase 10, spoons etc. Grab a deck and start playing!

Happy Dating!

Puzzle Date

Happy Friday!

Phew! Hubby and I have had a hectic week! Last Friday I took him to the hospital because he had appendicitis! YIKES! No worries though. He had surgery and is doing much better now.

All that to say, we have been lying low around here. Since he is supposed to be taking it easy, our dates have to be super mellow too.

Mellow dates? No problem!

This week we pulled out a puzzle! When was the last time you did a puzzle? Its been awhile for us.

It was nice to stay home and enjoy each others company over a puzzle. You could even make your own! I'm thinking of making a puzzle valentine for Hubby!

This was a great date because we didn't need a babysitter and it was FREE! Love me some free dates. Give it a try! Or make your own together.

Happy Dating!

Trampoline Date

While we were visiting family, Hubby and I had a quick date on the trampoline.

These are great for so many reasons.

A. FREE!!
B. Would work for a group date
C.Family Friendly
D.Would work as a nap time date
E. SUPER FUN!

I forgot how fabulous these things are!

Can I tell you that it is REALLY hard to jump once you've had a baby (if you know what I mean)?
Just sayin'...

So, need a quick, free, and SUPER FUN date?

Hop on a trampoline and let everything else take care of itself.

Happy Dating!

Ding Dong Ditch

Hello Again! I hope everyone has had a lovely holiday. My little family spent our vacation visiting family all across the country and I have some very exciting dates to share from the past few weeks!

But first...

Before we left, Hubby and I were able to do some ding-dong-ditching.

So Fun!

I found some Christmas tins at Goodwill for $0.45 a piece. Score!

I spent a day baking and then we were off to deliver.

It was seriously so fun trying to hop in the car and drive off without being seen and without killing the person trying to get back in the car!

No worries though. We made it back in one piece.

Sweet B came along too! She nodded off here and there. This would be a great nap-time date.

We had a ball being super sneaky together.
Mwahaha!

Plus we all know that the act of giving makes one feel all warm and squishy inside.

Give it a try! For your next date night, try a random act of kindness. It will make your day!

Happy Dating!

Star Gazing

Hubby is applying to Law School soon which means he will be taking the LAST next week!

Yikes!

That also means he has been studying like a mad man and doesn't have a lot of time to spare for date night.

No problem! Instead of going somewhere, go star gazing on your porch!

In between study sessions we were able to go out and spend some time looking at the night sky together.

I put tea-lights all around our porch and in our flower boxes.

 Viola! Instant romance!

We waited until Sweet B had gone to bed so it was just us.

It was plenty cold too. Perfect excuse to cuddle while gazing. Hubby was thankful for the opportunity to take a break from studying. And me too!

Make sure to stop by next week. I have lots of little surprises cooked up for Hubby as he prepares for the LAST on Saturday!

Good Luck Mein Schatz!

Mini Golf at Home

Hubby has a set of golf clubs. He has not touched them the whole time I've known him. While brainstorming what to do for FNDN I stumbled across those dusty clubs again. So, I decided to put them to use and made a mini golf course at home! It was so fun!

I used masking tape for the lines and used cardboard to hold up our tee.

Some holes were made of cardboard and others were cups.

At the last minute, we invited our neighbors up for a round. We may have to do this again with more couples. It would be a great group date. I'm thinking maybe matching shirts and prizes?

We got really creative and used some of Sweet B's toys for obstacles. Those blocks were pretty intimidating, let me tell you.

No babysitter needed for this date. We just waited until our little one was asleep. And the course was made from objects around the house.

No babysitter + stuff from home + spouse = FREE DATE!

Who doesn't love that?

Learn to Waltz at Home

To celebrate the start of a new school year, Hubby and I learned how to waltz for date night this week.

We didn't have a lot of time or money so went to our old friend youtube. There are a lot of great videos that teach how to waltz. I must say, I was very proud of my Hubby for lasting more than two minutes. He is a fantastic athlete, but lets just say that dancing is just not his thing.

While watching the video, he did a lot of this...

Staring at the screen and looking very confused. And while he did that I looked at him while thinking "Really? Is it that hard?"

Instead of forking out money for a babysitter, we waited until it was Sweet B's nap time. Then went out to the living room to get our waltzing groove on.

All in all it was fun. He made a lot of progress. We both did.
Free date at home AND dancing with my Hubby? I'll take that any day.
Good luck this year Mein Schatz!
